Jayesh Bhayani has left Tesco, where he spent the past ten years and served as Chief Product and Technology Officer.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: "A couple of weeks ago, I officially retired from Tesco. When I made this choice a few months back, it came down to a personal decision to relocate from the UK, rather than a desire to leave Tesco."
"While there is quite a lot to say about commercial milestones, transformation metrics, and deliveries, I would rather focus on what actually drives an organisation of this magnitude - its culture."
He added: "Tesco is fundamentally built on great individuals and team-ship across the business. It remains one of the most authentically people-centric companies I have ever encountered. It is incredibly rare to find an enterprise operating at this massive scale that still maintains such genuine support for its colleagues. The culture here runs deep."
"To everyone across the business I have had the privilege of working alongside over the last decade, ‘Thank You’. You have made these past ten years an exceptional chapter of my life and contributed immensely to my own personal growth. I wish you my very best for the future."
