Hyungji Elite, a South Korean apparel company and affiliate of Fashion Group Hyungji specialising in school uniforms, corporate workwear, and licensed sports merchandise, has introduced Beontag's RFID tags across its product management lifecycle.

The first step is 2027 season merchandise. Until now, inbound and outbound inspections and inventory audits relied on manual methods, where products are checked one by one. This takes time, and it inevitably leads to discrepancies between the physical stock on the shelf and the stock recorded in the system. Those gaps cost money, either as lost sales when products are not available or as excess inventory that ties up resources.

With RFID, tags attached to the products are read wirelessly, and many items can be identified at the same time, without scanning barcodes individually. For the teams at Hyungji Elite, this means inbound and outbound checks and inventory audits can be automated, with shorter inspection times and higher accuracy.

The 2027 season will launch RFID implementation with its first brand, covering four million pieces utilising Tricto M830 and ECO Hook M M830 tags. By identifying each item individually, Hyungji Elite says it will build product level data that tracks goods across production, logistics, and sales, laying the foundation for enhanced demand forecasting as well as precise production and inventory planning.

"Through our cooperation with Beontag, we have established the groundwork to enhance efficiency across product management and logistics operations. Starting with the introduction of RFID, we will continuously strengthen our smart logistics system across production, logistics, and sales," says Junho Choi, Executive Vice Chairman, Hyungji Elite.
